NWANetworking.com Is Born

On a fateful day in May 2007, at a speed networking event, we knew in the first five minutes that we would not only become great friends, but also very powerful networking allies. Separately, we were both networking machines, but together we have become a force.

So, on another fateful day in August 2008, we put our heads together to develop what has become NWANetworking.com.

Our hope is that this website will become an integral part of your networking in Northwest Arkansas. We strive to be the one central location for you to find out what is happening in your community and help drive revenue to your business.

Kim O'Kelley grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa.  She went on to college at the University of Iowa in Iowa City where  she graduated in 1995 with a B.A. in Communications. Kim has worked for Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Xerox and Paychex Business Solutions.  These jobs have taken her from Iowa to Nebraska back to Iowa and finally to Southwest Florida.  She moved to NWA in February of 2005 with the intent of changing career gears and moving into Psychology.  She quickly realized that her heart and strength remained in sales.  She began working for L&L Mechanical Services in September of 2006 where she is a maintenance sales representative.  
Kim helped establish the local Building Owners and Managers Association in 2007 and has been the Executive Director since the association became federated with BOMA International.
She has been a volunteer with the Crisis Intervention Center of NWA, Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWA, and CASA of NWA since 2005.

Kim is a proud aunt of two beautiful nieces that live in Rogers, AR, and a beautiful niece that lives in Lighthouse Point, FL.
She is the mom of a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier named Blazer and a 2 year old Golden Retriever named Clover. 

Angela Belford came to NWA in 1991 to attend the University of Arkansas where she graduated in 1996 with a degree in Marketing. Now a very busy mother of three, Angela and her husband Barry have grown their custom software company, Advantage Information Services into The Belford  Group. Barry began by writing software for law enforcement and emergency response that Angela resourcefully marketed and sold for their company throughout the nineties. With Angela's abilities to interact with people, ask great questions, and respond to needs she sees in the marketplace, they have grown into The Belford Group. Angela and Barry collaberated to create other software packages, such as GraceBase and On-Line Sign Up. GraceBase offers schools, preschools, fitness facilities, and churches peace of mind by allowing them to safely and efficiently check children into their buildings and programs. On-Line Sign Up is used by corporate training and seminar companies, parks and recreation departments, sports leagues, non-profits, as well as dance and gymanastic studios and churches to enroll students and clients into their programs on line.

That same entrepeneurial spirit that drove growth in their software packages has also spurred The Belford Group on to offer website development, and business consultation. Angela has put together a team of web designers and writers that specialize in Search Engine Optimization and ease of site navigation. (That means the websites created by The Belford Group are easy to use and rank high with Google, Yahoo, and MSN.) Now in her thirties, Angela is still learning to balance her passion for business with the deep desire to be a great wife and mother. Fortunately, her amazing family makes it fun and worthwhile, even if it isn't always easy.
